When I went shopping for homes and compared the different varieties, I could see clearly that what I wanted was a modular home. Let me tell you why. Modular homes are fairly cheaper than traditional homes, upto 35% less. Homes which are much cheaper than that may be mobile homes, so be careful.

In my home shopping, I found that modular homes were more durable than traditional homes. They are built stronger so that they survive transportation.

Easy financing was available for my modular home. This is because they are viewed as comparable to traditional homes. Mobile homes depreciate whereas modular homes do not. They are built quickly. In addition you do not need to feel bad about living in a “cheap” house since it is very difficult to distinguish between modular and traditional houses.

I was able to choose the design of my modular home the way I wanted it. Windows, siding, doors, colors etc. of modular homes are highly customizable. In addition, I had a list of reliable modular home manufacturers whom I could choose from. I have lived in this home for some time now and have never regretted my decision.
